North-West Air Ambulance was founded in 1999 but it wasn’t until 2002 that the charity began to fly 7 days a week. Some 6 years later the charity introduced a second helicopter before in 2012 a Doctor was placed aboard one the service based at Barton Airfield in Manchester. The fleet was further upgraded in 2013 when a third helicopter arrived and they now cover the region from their bases in Blackpool and Manchester (x 2). A corporate re-branding took place in 2017 to ensure the helicopters all looked identical and they are now very easily recognisable with their yellow and blue branding.
Tower Lotteries have been recruiting lottery players on behalf of the charity since 2008 and are proud to have helped grow membership beyond all expectation. The lottery is now far and away the charities biggest source of revenue and our representatives can be found throughout the North West looking for new supporters.
