Wales Air Ambulance fundraisers Huw Thomas and Daniel Jones got the chance to meet the crew at Morriston Hospital yesterday (24th April) after the helicopter flew in a patient whilst they were recruiting lottery members onsite.
What was particularly pleasing for Huw and Daniel, is that paramedic Rhyan Curtin made the effort to come and speak with the guys and thank them for the work they do in raising money which directly keeps the helicopter in the air. 2 in every 4 missions undertaken by Wales Air Ambulance, is funded directly by the lottery and this wouldn’t have been achieved with the efforts of people like Huw, Daniel and the rest of the team working for the charity.
Membership of the lifesaving lottery has more than doubled over the past 5 years and in 2018, it raised over £4m for the charity!
