Tower Lotteries are proud to act as External Lottery Managers (ELM) for six air ambulance charities. This involves running their weekly draw from start to finish – from recruiting new members to processing the payments of existing supporters, to compliance reporting and conducting the draws to determine the winners. Every aspect of their lifesaving lottery is handled by Tower Lotteries, something we have done since each of the draws commenced.
As we approach the end of 2019, all six of these lifesaving lotteries will head into 2020 with a recording breaking membership. Whilst that is easy to type and easy to say, when you consider that donations in January 2019 were scheduled to hit £17.5m over the next 12 months, to have exceeded that in the last 12 months is nothing short of spectacular.
As we head into 2020, donations for the upcoming 12 months based on higher paying memberships are expected to exceed £19.5m; this is an increase across these six lotteries of 11.4%. These gains have been made possible because of the reputation of air ambulances, and the hard work of the fundraisers representing them. Despite already having memberships that generate millions of pounds and fund tens of thousands of lifesaving missions across the country, the six lotteries have continued to grow and Tower are proud to play their part in the income they continue to generate and how this money is used to fly helicopters and drive rapid response vehicles to attend to people across the country in their hour of need.
The good news doesn’t just come from lotteries we act as an ELM. In the last six weeks, Lincs & Notts Air Ambulance and Devon Air Ambulance reached significant milestones in their lottery membership and this follows on from Wales AA and North-West AA hitting new highs. Tower Lotteries recruit new members and provide lottery fundraisers for these air ambulances, so record high memberships is equally good news.
