Lincolnshire and Nottinghamshire Air Ambulance were founded over 23 years ago and has since undertaken more than 18,200 life-threatening missions, delivering specialist medical attention to the people of Lincs & Notts in their greatest hour of need. Traveling at speeds of up to 190mph, the skilled team of pilots, doctors and paramedics effectively bring the equivalent of an A&E department to the scene of an incident and can transport a patient to a specialist unit or major hospital in a fraction of the time taken by road ambulance.

The charity is based at RAF Waddington, south of Lincoln but can reach any point within the two counties in less than 20 minutes and on average transfer a patient to a hospital within 8 minutes.  Each mission costs approximately £2,500 and they fly an average of 3 missions per day, 365 days of the year. Each year the charity needs to raise £2.5 million to keep flying and saving lives.

Every year LNAA are called upon for approximately 1,000 missions.

In July 2017, the charity welcomed a brand new state-of-the-art AugstaWestland 169.  This fantastic new helicopter will serve the people of Lincs & Notts for years to come and provide them with the best service possible.  All this cannot be achieved without the wonderful support of local people.
