Five long-standing fundraisers for The Midlands Air Ambulance were invited to attend the charity’s Gala Ball at The NEC Genting Arena recently. Karen Rose, James Smith, Martin Morris, Daniel Pitt and Tom Owen were joined by their partners for a night of celebration at the event which was hosted by Vernon Kay and Nina Hossain.
Among the 500+ people attending the event were many celebrities including Strictly Come Dancing Gorka Marques and Gemma Atkinson, Emmerdale’s Adam Thomas and Anthony Quinlan, former boxer Big Joe Egan, Real Housewives of Cheshire Nick Malenko and Royston Blythe, Celebrity Juice’s Will Mellor, and Celebrity Jungle’s Jamie Lomas.
The night saw the charity raise over £125,000, which is a record for the event and it will fund many lifesaving missions throughout The Midlands. Many accolades were handed out on the night, including a Special Recognition Award to departing Chairman of Trustees Brendan Connor who played a vital role in the success of the lottery that now generates vast incomes for the charity.
Tower Lotteries views it as vital that fundraisers working for the lottery feel part of the charity and events such as this only endorse how the work they do, plays such a vital role in raising money for Midlands Air Ambulance.
