Fundraisers working on behalf of Kent, Surrey and Sussex Air Ambulance were honoured to attend the 2019 Air Aid Ball held at Redhill Airport recently. The event, organised by volunteers, has become an annual fundraiser for the charity since 2014 and Tower Lotteries were honoured to support it and in the process treat some of the hard-working fundraisers who regularly work on their behalf.
Kent, Surrey and Sussex Air Ambulance have one of the biggest local lotteries in the country and now raise more than £5m a year. The bulk of these members have been recruited by fundraisers working under the banner of Tower Lotteries, so it was the least we could do to treat them to a night out. Head of Operations Richard Wild attended the evening along with Malcolm Thompson, Lenny Beaney, Mark Calland, Maureen Simms and their partners.
Finally totals haven’t yet been announced, but it is hoped that nearly £100,000 will have been raised on the night from ticket sales and the plethora of auction prizes that were up for grabs.
