It is with great delight that Tower Lotteries can announce Murray Galbraith as our winner of Canvasser of the Month.
Murray represents Scotland’s Charity Air Ambulance and frequently travels to The Highlands of the country in his quest to recruit new members. This involves a 4-hour drive, but he consistently produces many deals and is a delight to work with as Area Manager Billy McLaren explains “Murray, and his work partner Stephen McGrath, plan their trips in advance, which allows me to target his venues. They will always give me a selection of options, should a venue not turn out right.
“Murray just gets on with it, even if it is a struggle in a certain venue. He accepts the peaks and troughs of life as a canvasser and gets on with it. He sets his own targets and works till he achieves them. Both Murray and Stephen have a fantastic work ethic and will stay in a venue longer than any other fundraisers I have. The guys try to set up a relationship with the principals of venues they are in, to make it easier to get future dates.”
Membership of Scotland’s Charity Air Ambulance lottery has grown rapidly since 2016. Income from the draw has been pivotal in the charity announcing plans to bring a 2nd helicopter into operation, based in Aberdeen. Without the income from the lottery, this wouldn’t have been possible and Chairman of The Trustees John Bullough and Chief Executive David Craig said as much at the recent 5th Anniversary Ball.
Congratulations to Murray and keep up the good work.
The runners-up were as follows:
