This year’s Association of Air Ambulances’ Awards of Excellence was held on Monday 13 November at Chelsea Harbour Hotel in London and was attended by over 300 people.
Tower Lottery Partnership was given the opportunity to sponsor the incredible award of the Charity Volunteer of the Year. This prestigious award was won this year by the couple, Jill and Don McLaren, for their tireless work for Lincs and Notts Air Ambulance. They have donated their time over the past 16 years racking up in excess of 8,000 hours undertaking volunteering roles from sorting donated items
Tower Lotteries Director, Julian Naylor, presented the award on the evening to the deserving couple.
Julian said of the award: “Tower are proud to support the Air Ambulance sector, and honoured to be given the opportunity to reward the unsung heroes of that community. Jill and Don are shining examples of this, giving so much of themselves to support the Lincs and Notts Air Ambulance. That the winners of this award are part of Lincs and Notts Air Ambulance, our newest client was the icing on the cake.”
