New canvassers representing Kent, Surrey & Sussex Air Ambulance were treated to a day at the airbase in Marden recently. The canvassers undergo training as part of their induction to the charity but also get to meet the pilot and paramedics that fly the helicopter. This gives the representatives a real insight into how the charity functions and gives them the best possible opportunity to answer some of the questions that will asked of them as they go about their business.
Kent, Surrey & Sussex Air Ambulance have one of the biggest weekly lotteries in the country and generated over £4.5m last year, all of which was used to help directly fund the two helicopters that fly in the region. Tower Lotteries are proud to have worked for the charity since 2010 and the income generated from this revenue stream has grown tremendously during this period.
