Tower Lotteries were honoured to attend The Association of Air Ambulance 2018 Annual Conference at Chelsea Harbour Hotel in November and sponsor the award for Charity Volunteer of the Year. The short-listed candidates all came from Air Ambulances that Tower work alongside, before the judges decided Colin Smith of Wiltshire Air Ambulance was the worthy winner. In total there were 10 awards presented with a special highlight being The Lifetime Achievement Award won by Wales Chief Executive Angela Hughes, undoubtedly one of the nicest ladies in the sector.
The event brings all the Air Ambulances from The UK together to share best practise and exchange ideas on everything from missions they attend to fundraising opportunities. Tower Lotteries have traditionally sponsored an award and Head of Operations Richard Wild was present throughout to exhibit to many of the charities the company has a long-standing relationship with.
Tower Lotteries took the opportunity to invite fundraiser Kehinde Oladokun to the event. Kehinde works tirelessly for some of our charities in the South-East and he was proud to be part of the Awards Dinner and speak with some of the charities that he fundraises on behalf of.
